Counseling is a collaborative effort between you, and I the counselor to develop new patterns of thinking and behaving to help you experience meaningful improvements in functioning and subjective experience in life. It takes time, you did not become sick overnight, the path to a healthier you will take time and effort on your part. I am a guide not a pack mule, I will walk with you on this journey, but I can’t carry you. I will encourage and support you on the journey, but I can’t and won’t do it for you.
